Composition-The general composition is of a Mountain Man with all the implements necessary to survive in the wilderness, including his horse. These features are detailed on the statue such as a backpack, long-sleeved shirt, cotton pants, knife, ax, hat, belt, rope, riding boots, bow, arrows, and quiver. The face is of no particular person, but of a genre, or era of the emergence of the gentlemen.

The Peaceful Patriot is carved from Verde Antique which is amongst the hardest stones in the world.
